Our first family holiday

We had our first family holiday this week. Originally we were going to hire a camper trailer for the week but Ella's nighttime sleep has deteriorated over the past few weeks so that we could not subject the whole caravan park to hours of nighttime screaming. Anyway, we ended up in a two bedroom self contained apartment which was very nice.

As you can see by the photos we took the Discovery on the beach! After an initial setback where we nearly got bogged after driving about 40m in the sand (we hadn't let the tyre pressure down) we had no other problems. It was good fun.

Ella had her first play in the sand and ended up totally covered. She really enjoyed playing with her new bag of sand toys (and the sand!).

We also managed to go fishing, just didn't catch any fish.

Downside of the whole week was that Ella and Jodie have come down with a cold again and we have had to cancel the Ellen Barron Centre next week. Have been rebooked in for the week commencing 27th August.
